About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to join a team focused on antenna design, payload design, electronics packaging, or tooling. You will work under the supervision of an experienced engineer to support project schedules and budgets. The role is designed to mirror the work scope of a new graduate, with tasks assigned based on your current level of schooling and experience. This is a full-time, paid position for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Complete training on Siemens Nx software and learn geometric tolerancing.
- Create 3D CAD models, technical drawings, and documentation.
- Manage mass budgets and parts lists.
- Support purchasing and manufacturing activities.
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years in a bachelor of Mechanical Engineering program.
- A completed course in 3D modelling.
- A proactive approach and a desire to learn.
- Strong communication skills.
- Preference is given to candidates who have completed their third year, possess prior internship experience, or maintain a GPA above 3.0/4.0.
- Successful candidates must pass a security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program.
