About the role#
The McMaster Students Union is hiring Customer Service Representatives for the Union Market. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Hamilton, Ontario. We review applications on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Manage store opening and closing duties.
- Provide customer service during operating hours.
- Handle large amounts of cash using a computerized POS system, debit machines, and calculators.
- Stock shelves and put away deliveries, which involves frequent lifting of heavy objects.
- Make quick decisions to resolve customer service situations.
What you'll need#
- Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and staff.
- A background in a customer service industry.
- Experience with cash procedures, preferably in a computerized environment.
- Ability to organize tasks effectively.
- Capacity to make decisions quickly without warning.

- Location: Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
- Work type: On-site.
- Compensation: $17.75 per hour.
- Schedule: Variable part-time hours.
