About the role#
McLeod Health is hiring a Nurse Extern to join the team in Little River, South Carolina. This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term. You will work on-site to assist with patient care and unit operations.
What you'll do#
- Maintain cleanliness for patients and the unit environment.
- Conduct hourly rounds using Service Excellence Standards.
- Assist with nutritional and hydration interventions like feeding and providing fluids.
- Collect and record patient data through direct care tasks.
- Communicate patient information to the interdisciplinary team.
- Promote comfort and safety for patients and visitors.
- Perform general transportation and courier duties.
What you'll need#
- Successful completion of at least one semester of a nursing program.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Membership in the Occupation Risk Assessment.
