About the role#
This position is for students currently enrolled in the Mayo Clinic Radiography program. You will work in a clinical setting to support Radiologists and Technologists across various modalities. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Jacksonville, Florida.
What you'll do#
- Transport patients and equipment safely throughout the facility.
- Assist with both invasive and non-invasive procedures.
- Prepare sterile trays and handle specimens.
- Remove IVs as directed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area.
- Communicate with staff, patients, and visitors.
- Protect patient confidentiality.
- Work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the Mayo Clinic Radiography program.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and more with help.
- Physical stamina to walk, stand, and maneuver stretchers for long periods.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience in a clinical or patient care setting is preferred.
- Completion of Mayo Clinic New Employee Orientation and General Systems Training.
- Ability to obtain BLS certification within six months and complete a communications course within one year.
