About the role#
The Finance Rotational Internship at Masco Corporation offers students experience across four corporate functions: Tax, Internal Audit, Financial Reporting, and Internal Controls. Over a four-month period, you will complete structured rotations to see how financial transactions are recorded, controlled, reviewed, and reported. You will work with experienced professionals on business projects to build your technical and analytical skills.
What you'll do#
- Tax: Assist with tax compliance, reporting projects, provision activities, and research on technical tax issues. Participate in tax technology and process improvement projects.
- Internal Audit: Help with audit planning and execution. Conduct financial statement analysis, perform data testing, and document observations. You will also participate in interviews and process walkthroughs.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare work papers for journal entries and financial statement balances. Perform variance analysis, research fluctuations in results, and participate in special projects. You will also help identify ways to improve reporting through automation and AI tools.
- Internal Controls: Document business processes and controls. Participate in control testing and monitoring efforts. Maintain risk documentation and identify opportunities for process improvement.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
- Demonstrated leadership through work, academic, or extracurricular experiences.
- A curious mindset and a willingness to learn across multiple disciplines.
