About the role#
As an IC Validation Engineer Intern, you will work with our team on the full lifecycle of silicon products. You will assist senior engineers with lab bring-up, data collection, and testing to ensure our high-speed mixed-signal DSP chips meet performance standards. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Kanata, Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Measure transmitter and receiver performance.
- Test digital and analog features of our products.
- Assemble test stations for hardware evaluation.
- Run and edit automation tools using Python.
- Collaborate with the software team to integrate, test, and develop code that controls and monitors silicon.
- Present your findings and results to the engineering team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS or MS program for Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Python and good problem-solving abilities.
- A solid understanding of hardware and software fundamentals, digital communication, and Digital Signal Processing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Availability for an 8 to 12 month term.
- Ability to work full-time on-site.
- Preferred: 2 or more years of related course work and experience with automation.
