About the role#
Marvell is hiring Digital IC Design interns for the Summer 2027 term. You will join teams working on technologies that power cloud, AI, storage, and networking solutions. This role involves working on the design and verification of high-performance chips, including Ethernet PHY chips and SoC subsystems. You will work directly with architecture, physical design, and verification teams to deliver solutions for data infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Develop and verify high-performance RTL design blocks.
- Apply digital design specifications to high-speed connectivity devices and next-generation chips.
- Perform synthesis, static timing analysis, timing signoff, and power analysis.
- Debug design issues to ensure functional correctness.
- Investigate and execute new design techniques to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Completed coursework in circuit design, circuit theory, digital logic design, static timing analysis, computer architecture, Verilog, VLSI, DSP, or SoC/ASIC design.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages like Python, Perl, and Tcl.
- Experience with tools such as Synopsys Primetime, Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre X, and Mentor.
- Hands-on experience with RTL design and an understanding of the ASIC design flow.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Compensation: Paid position, $35 - $70 per hour.
- Employment: Full-time.
