About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to work on digital logic design for cloud, AI, storage, and networking technologies. You will join teams responsible for designing and verifying high-performance chips, including Ethernet PHY and system-on-chip (SoC) architectures. This is a full-time, paid position for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Develop and verify high-performance RTL design blocks.
- Apply digital design specifications to high-speed connectivity devices and next-generation chips.
- Conduct synthesis, static timing analysis, timing signoff, and power analysis.
- Debug design issues to ensure functional correctness.
- Explore new design techniques and methodologies to improve quality and productivity.
- Collaborate with chip architecture, design verification, and physical design teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Coursework in circuit design, digital logic, computer architecture, Verilog, VLSI, DSP, or SoC/ASIC design.
- Hands-on experience with RTL design and understanding of the ASIC design flow.
- Proficiency in Python, Perl, or Tcl.
- Experience with tools such as Synopsys Primetime, Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre X, and Mentor.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
