About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will work on-site with teams designing chips for cloud, AI, storage, and networking solutions. You will contribute to real products while collaborating with chip architecture, design verification, and physical design teams.
What you'll do#
- Develop and verify high-performance RTL design blocks.
- Apply design specifications for high-speed connectivity devices and next-generation chips.
- Perform synthesis, static timing analysis, timing signoff, and power analysis.
- Debug design issues to ensure functional correctness.
- Investigate new design techniques and explore methodologies to improve design quality and efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s program for Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Completed coursework in circuit design, digital logic, static timing analysis, computer architecture, Verilog, VLSI, DSP, or SoC/ASIC design.
- Proficiency in Python, Perl, or Tcl.
- Hands-on experience with RTL design and familiarity with the ASIC design flow.
- Experience using tools such as Synopsys Primetime, Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre X, and Mentor.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Eligibility to access export-controlled information.

- Term: Summer 2027.
- Pay: $30 to $59 per hour.
