About the role#
This internship with the Compute and Custom Solutions team offers hands-on experience in the semiconductor industry. You will work on the development of complex System on Chip (SoC) designs and contribute to the DFT architecture and methodology. You will learn to use industry tools while collaborating with engineers on real-world silicon solutions.
What you'll do#
- Develop an understanding of block level and chip top DFT and pattern generation flows.
- Execute DFT insertion, pattern generation, and verification for Scan, MBIST, Boundary Scan, and IP macro tests.
- Run DFT checks and analyze results to resolve testability issues and improve coverage.
- Support flow automation using Python, Tcl, or shell scripting.
- Contribute to DFT documentation and methodology improvements.
- Present your project results to the team at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of digital logic design using Verilog or System Verilog.
- Knowledge of DFT concepts, JTAG standards, and Boundary scan implementation.
- Familiarity with Scan test, memory BIST/BISR, and functional test methodologies.
- Experience with programming and scripting languages including Python, Shell, or Tcl.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted tools for coding and automation.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
