About the role#
The Central Engineering Test Chip Development team provides hardware validation for custom SRAM, logic, I/O, and security circuits. You will work on advanced semiconductor technology nodes to design test chips, build laboratory infrastructure, and verify silicon performance alongside design teams.
What you'll do#
- Design and verify test chip experiments using Verilog simulation.
- Develop, generate, simulate, and debug Verilog-based test patterns for hardware validation.
- Build and maintain laboratory environments for hardware debug, diagnostics, and data collection.
- Create software tools and automation scripts to support design, hardware characterization, and data analysis.
- Analyze, document, and present validation results to engineering teams.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Master’s Degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
- Understanding of digital logic circuits, memory architectures, I/O circuits, and semiconductor device physics.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments.
- Programming and scripting skills in Perl and Python.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in either Santa Clara, California, or Burlington, Vermont.
