About the role#
Marine Solutions, Inc. is hiring a Shop Intern to assist our Shop Manager with daily operations. This role is based in Nicholasville, Kentucky, and offers hands-on experience within a specialized marine engineering and construction environment. This is a paid, full-time internship with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Track and organize tools, diving equipment, and consumables.
- Stage gear for jobs using loadout lists or unload gear upon return.
- Clean and maintain workstations, welding areas, and common walkways.
- Reorganize storage racks, label bins, and restock first aid kits.
- Prepare dive gear for inspection and test life support equipment.
- Perform basic boat and trailer cleanups and visual inspections.
- Shadow compressor operations, fill station operations, and pressure washing equipment.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer functions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work in rugged conditions or adverse weather when in the field.

- Compensation: $13.50 to $15.00 per hour based on education and experience.
