About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship with the Power and Energy Team. You will gain hands-on experience by working alongside senior staff on real projects. The internship lasts 12 weeks, starting May 17, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering tasks to build your technical and professional skills.
- Assist with project research, field work, and design calculations.
- Help prepare final design plans, cost estimates, and special provisions.
- Collect and maintain project documentation.
- Complete required training for your assigned tasks.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in an undergraduate Civil or Mechanical Engineering program, or a related field.
- An anticipated graduation date of August 2027 or later.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
- Ability to follow direction from mentors and leadership.
- Basic proficiency with office software and technical tools.

- This position is based on-site in Indian Land, South Carolina.
- This is a temporary summer 2027 role.
- No relocation or housing assistance is provided for this position.
