About the role#
Marine Solutions is hiring a Shop Intern for our Rosedale, Maryland office. This role supports our Shop Manager with daily operations and project tasks. It is a paid, full-time, on-site position with a rolling term. We are looking for students or individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in a marine engineering and construction environment.
What you'll do#
- Track and organize tools, diving equipment, and shop consumables.
- Stage gear for jobs using loadout lists and unload equipment upon return.
- Clean and maintain workstations, welding areas, and common walkways.
- Reorganize storage racks, label bins, and restock first aid stations.
- Prep dive gear for inspection, including checking cylinders and testing life support equipment.
- Perform basic boat and trailer cleanups and visual inspections.
- Shadow compressor operations, fill station tasks, and pressure washing equipment use.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in basic computer functions like Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Pursuit of or interest in fields such as Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering, or Business Administration.
