About the role#
As an Analytics Specialist Intern, you will work with the Purchasing and Logistics team. You will assist with data analysis and reporting for raw materials, purchasing, freight, and shipping. This role focuses on using business intelligence tools to develop reports, track performance, and identify trends. You will support data-informed decisions while gaining experience in procurement and logistics.
What you'll do#
- Collect, organize, and analyze procurement and transportation data.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics.
- Use Power BI and Excel to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Analyze raw-material spending, purchase orders, and supplier activity.
- Evaluate freight costs, shipping performance, and transportation trends.
- Support data validation, reporting accuracy, and process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or graduate degree program in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Finance, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and an interest in Power BI or similar reporting tools.
- Experience with data analysis, visualization, or database tools is preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Deerfield Beach, Florida.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August, 12 weeks).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid internship with an hourly rate up to $23.00. Housing stipends are available in certain situations.
