About the role#
The Marketing Intern supports the Retail Marketing and Attractions Marketing teams at Mall of America. This position runs from September 2026 through February 2027. You will work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday, with occasional requirements to work evenings, weekends, and holidays for on-site and off-site events.
What you'll do#
- Act as a liaison between Mall of America tenants and internal marketing teams.
- Help coordinate retailer participation in various marketing initiatives.
- Collect products from tenant partners for campaigns.
- Plan, execute, and attend brand events both on and off-site.
- Prepare influencer packages before their arrival at the mall.
- Support promotions and campaigns for Nickelodeon Universe and other attractions.
- Manage the Nickelodeon Universe Mystery Ticket Program, including tracking and distribution.
- Organize campaign assets and track communication using Monday.com.
- Assist with radio and TV trade programs.
- Maintain retailer information, store photos, and promotions on the company website and internal databases.
- Research retail trends and competitive information.
- Answer incoming inquiries and phone calls for the Retail Marketing department.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or PR.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, including availability for weekend events.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive, self-starting approach.
- A genuine interest in trends and fashion.
- Reliable transportation for travel to off-site events.
- Graphic design or Photoshop skills are considered a plus.
