About the role#
Hickory Farms is looking for a Content Marketing Intern to join our team in Chicago. This paid role offers hands-on experience in social media content creation. You will work directly with our marketing team to build digital content and contribute to our paid media strategy. This is a part-time position requiring 10 to 20 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
What you'll do#
- Create original short-form video content from concept through to the final asset.
- Edit raw footage into variations for organic and paid social media use.
- Support social media strategy through ideation and asset testing.
- Write on-brand captions for various platforms and campaigns.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on creative brainstorms, campaign briefs, and shoots.
- Find and vet potential content creator partners.
- Draft creative briefs and manage creator relationships, timelines, and content delivery.
- Track platform trends and monitor performance metrics to share insights.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in or recent graduation from a college program, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or Media Studies.
- A strong eye for visual storytelling.
- Proficiency with editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, or Instagram Edits.
- Familiarity with social media formats like Reels, Shorts, Stories, and carousels.
- An interest in food, gifting, and brand building.
- You must live in the Chicagoland area.
- You must upload short-form video content for consideration.
Location & details#
- This role is based on-site at our Chicago, Illinois office.
- Compensation is $26 per hour.
- This is a part-time, paid internship with a rolling term.
