About the role#
This internship is for college students, ideally those studying Construction Management or Civil Engineering. It is a field-oriented position for people interested in growing into future Superintendent roles. You will receive instruction from Superintendents, Blasting Supervisors, and Drill Operators. The role requires working in various weather conditions, and you may need to travel out of town or work overtime.
What you'll do#
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
- Participate in daily safety meetings, as well as periodic job and foreman meetings.
- Perform construction labor tasks, including pumping blast holes dry and carrying buckets of stemming stone.
- Load and unload explosives from trucks.
- Keep the job site clean and organized.
- Submit accurate, signed time cards to your supervisor every week.
- Work unsupervised when necessary.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a college student, preferably in a Civil Engineering or Construction Management program.
- A valid driver license with a good driving record and your own transportation.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check for the ATF.
- Physical agility to work on uneven, loose surfaces outdoors.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally, with frequent stooping and bending.
- Prior experience as a construction laborer is helpful but not required.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- Positions are available on-site in Gardiner, ME; Auburn, NH; Brattleboro, VT; Argyle, NY; Watertown, NY; Millford, MA; Rocky Hill, CT; Bethel, PA; Winchester, VA; Liberty, NC; Lebanon, TN; and Douglasville, GA.
