    About the role#

    This summer internship is for college students, ideally studying Civil Engineering or Construction Management. It is a hands-on, field-oriented role designed for those interested in moving toward future Superintendent positions. You will work under the direction of Superintendents, Blasting Supervisors, and Drill Operators. The role requires working in various weather conditions, and you may need to travel out of town or work overtime.

    What you'll do#

    • Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
    • Attend daily heads up safety meetings and participate in periodic job or foreman meetings.
    • Perform construction labor tasks, including pumping blast holes dry and carrying buckets of stemming stone.
    • Load and unload explosives from trucks.
    • Keep the job site clean and organized.
    • Submit accurate, signed time cards to your foreman every week.
    • Work independently when required.

    What you'll need#

    • A valid driver license with a good driving record and your own transportation.
    • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
    • Ability to pass an ATF criminal background check.
    • Physical agility to work on uneven, loose surfaces outdoors.
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
    • Ability to stoop and bend for most of the workday.
    • Previous experience as a construction laborer is helpful but not required.

    Location & details#

    This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship for Summer 2027. Positions are available in the following locations: Gardiner, ME; Auburn, NH; Brattleboro, VT; Argyle, NY; Watertown, NY; Millford, MA; Rocky Hill, CT; Bethel, PA; Winchester, VA; Liberty, NC; Lebanon, TN; and Douglasville, GA.
