About the role#
This internship is for students interested in field-oriented construction work. It is designed for those looking to build a career path toward future Superintendent roles. You will work under the direction of Superintendents, Blasting Supervisors, and Drill Operators. The role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, and you may need to travel out of town or work overtime.
What you'll do#
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
- Attend daily heads-up safety meetings, as well as periodic job and foreman meetings.
- Perform construction labor tasks, including pumping blast holes dry and carrying buckets of stemming stone.
- Load and unload explosives from trucks.
- Keep the job site clean and organized.
- Submit accurate, signed time cards every week.
- Work independently on tasks when required.
- Maintain physical agility to work on uneven, loose surfaces.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a college program, preferably Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
- A valid driver's license with a good driving record and your own transportation.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check for the ATF.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to stoop and bend for a significant portion of the workday.
- Previous experience as a construction laborer is helpful but not required.

This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027. The role is on-site at locations in Gardiner, ME; Auburn, NH; Brattleboro, VT; Argyle, NY; Watertown, NY; Millford, MA; Rocky Hill, CT; Bethel, PA; Winchester, VA; Liberty, NC; Lebanon, TN; and Douglasville, GA.
