About the role#
This internship is designed for college students interested in a career in construction, specifically those aiming for future Superintendent roles. We look for hands-on, field-oriented individuals who want to learn the technical and safety aspects of working on construction sites and around explosives. You will receive direct instruction from Superintendents, Blasting Supervisors, and Drill Operators. Please note that out-of-town travel and overtime may be required.
What you'll do#
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
- Participate in daily, periodic, and monthly safety and job meetings.
- Perform construction laboring tasks, including pumping blast holes dry, loading and unloading explosives, and carrying buckets of stemming stone.
- Keep job sites clean and organized.
- Submit accurate, signed time cards to your Blaster or Foreman on a weekly basis.
- Work independently when required.
What you'll need#
- You are currently a college student, preferably in a Construction Management or Civil Engineering program.
- You have a valid driver's license with a good driving record and your own transportation.
- You are comfortable working outside on uneven surfaces and can lift up to 75 lbs, with frequent stooping and bending.
- You must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and a criminal background check for the ATF.
- Prior experience as a construction laborer is helpful but not required.

This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship for Summer 2027. Positions are available in Gardiner, ME; Auburn, NH; Brattleboro, VT; Argyle, NY; Watertown, NY; Millford, MA; Rocky Hill, CT; Bethel, PA; Winchester, VA; Liberty, NC; Lebanon, TN; and Douglasville, GA.
