Social Media Intern (Fall 2026)

About the role#

Magnet Media is seeking a Social Media Intern for the Fall 2026 term. This role works closely with the SVP of marketing to contribute to digital marketing campaigns, market research, and event coordination. This is a paid, on-site internship based in New York, NY.

What you'll do#

• Assist in the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across email, social media, and content marketing.
• Create and curate engaging content for social media platforms.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform marketing strategies.
• Support the coordination of events, webinars, and other marketing initiatives.
• Track and analyze campaign performance using marketing analytics tools.
• Collaborate with design and content teams to develop marketing collateral, including graphics and presentations.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for marketing initiatives.
• Assist in maintaining and updating company website and social media pages.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a college degree program in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• Ability to receive college credit for the internship.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets); familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Canva is a plus.
• Experience with social media platforms and an interest in industry trends.
• Basic knowledge of digital marketing tools, such as Google Analytics or SEO, is a bonus.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with strong organizational and time management skills.

• Location: New York, NY (On-site).
• Term: September 14, 2026 – December 18, 2026.
• Commitment: 3 days per week.
• Availability: Must be available to work in Eastern Standard Time (EST).
