    About the role#

    As a Software Developer Co-op, you will be fully integrated into our software development team. You will contribute to production-level code, starting with bug fixes and basic features before advancing to complex feature development. Our students have historically authored key features within our software.

    What you'll do#

    • Integrate into the engineering team to contribute to digital investigative software.
    • Resolve bugs and implement initial features to become familiar with the codebase.
    • Take on increasingly complex development tasks as you progress.
    • Collaborate with team members to build and refine software solutions.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related degree program.
    • Proficiency in object-oriented programming, specifically Java, JavaScript, C#, C++, or Python.
    • A strong sense of accountability and ownership over your projects.
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

    • Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
    • Term: Fall 2026.
    • Modality: Hybrid (occasional in-office attendance required).
    • Compensation: Paid position ($22.01 - $33.81 CAD per hour).
