About the role#
As a Developer Intern, you will work alongside experienced developers and product team members to contribute to live product features. You will participate in meaningful projects while learning modern development practices, tools, and workflows. Mentors will support your technical and professional growth throughout the internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist in designing, coding, testing, and debugging software features.
- Use GenAI tools to plan, generate, and test code.
- Pair-program with senior developers and participate in code reviews to learn best practices.
- Write and maintain automated tests with guidance from team members.
- Investigate, reproduce, and resolve bugs under supervision.
- Participate in team rituals such as standups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Apply modern development practices, including CI/CD, containerization, and monitoring.
What you'll need#
- Familiarity with at least one programming language, such as Python, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Demonstrated interest in AI tools and a proactive mindset toward integrating them into your work.
- A high-achiever mindset evidenced by academic distinctions, leadership roles in student organizations, or exceptional accomplishments in personal projects.
- Interest in learning development tools and workflows, including Git and Docker.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teammates.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in both French and English is considered an asset.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship based in Montréal, Quebec.
- The role follows a hybrid work model with required in-office days for collaboration.
