About the role#
The Sphere Product Development (AED) Student Associate Program offers undergraduate students the chance to gain practical experience in the entertainment industry. You will work under the direct supervision of an engineer to support research, analysis, and technical problem-solving. This program focuses on professional development through mentorship, workshops, and hands-on tasks that build your career knowledge.
What you'll do#
- Perform tasks under the supervision of an engineer, with work checked during progress.
- Assist with troubleshooting and testing electronic assemblies using basic instruments.
- Read and interpret circuit schematics and identify components from Bills of Materials.
- Document work and follow project specifications under direct review.
- Participate in learning opportunities, including mentorship and career workshops.
- Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with team members, guests, and vendors.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student for Fall 2026.
- A GPA of 3.7 or higher.
- Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Basic familiarity with circuit schematics and electronic test equipment.
- Ability to work under close supervision and follow technical instructions.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Experience with Solidworks or similar mechanical design software is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Bozeman, Montana.
- Modality: On-site, 21-35 hours per week.
- Term: Fall 2026 through Winter 2027 (October 2026 - April 2027).
- Status: Paid, part-time position.
