About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work with our Data Science team on analytics and data engineering tasks. You will support the development of datasets, models, and reports that help us understand our business and meet strategic objectives. This is a full-time position for the winter term, running from January to April 2027. You will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop datasets, reports, and analysis for operational and strategic initiatives.
- Work with data from multiple sources and databases, including preparing data for machine learning.
- Analyze structured and unstructured data, organize your findings, and translate them into actionable insights.
- Learn various modelling approaches and evaluate performance based on business needs.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure models and solutions are ready for deployment.
- Participate in the development, testing, implementation, documentation, and improvement of data models.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary program in Data Science, Computer Science, Management Analytics, Statistics, or a similar field.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, and Git.
- Good critical thinking skills, including the ability to conceptualize, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate information.
- A willingness to learn how to develop code as part of a team, including participating in code reviews and documentation.
- Familiarity with BI and reporting tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI is a plus.
- Exposure to cloud technologies like Google Cloud or Azure is beneficial.

- Location: Toronto, Ontario.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January to April).
- Modality: Hybrid, with three days per week in the office.
- Compensation: This is a paid position with an expected annual base salary range of $49,000 to $51,000, prorated for the term.
