About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will participate in the design, review, fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of robotic systems. You will work alongside full-time engineers on projects that provide value to Lunar Outpost products. This role offers an end-to-end experience in autonomous robotic development.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to the design and review of robotic hardware.
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of systems.
- Perform maintenance tasks on existing robotic platforms.
- Collaborate with full-time staff on engineering projects.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work methodically.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate in an interdisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills under pressure.
- A passion for space exploration.
Location & details#
- Location: Golden, Colorado.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7 to August 20).
- Work Modality: On-site, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Compensation: $24.00 per hour.
- Employment: Full-time internship.
