About the role#
As a Project Management Intern at Lunar Outpost, you will work with our team to support the planning, execution, and monitoring of spaceflight projects. You will work alongside full-time engineers on projects related to autonomous robotic development. This role provides an end-to-end experience in project management.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules and timelines.
- Support project managers in tracking progress and ensuring milestones are met.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather and allocate requirements.
- Prepare and distribute project documentation, including status reports, meeting minutes, and presentations.
- Participate in project meetings and provide administrative support.
- Help identify, track, and mitigate project risks.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance organizational practices.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in a STEM field.
- Familiarity with project management software like Microsoft Project, Jira, or Trello.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work methodically.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellence in collaboration and teamwork in an interdisciplinary environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A passion for space exploration.
Location & details#
- Location: Golden, Colorado.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7, 2027 to August 20, 2027).
- Modality: On-site, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Employment: Full-time, paid internship at $24.00 per hour.
