About the role#
As a Robotics Engineering Intern, you will work on the guidance, navigation, and control software for our robotic systems. You will work directly with full-time engineers on projects that contribute to our products. This role involves the full cycle of autonomous robotic development.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement software for real-time robotic systems, focusing on motion control, path planning, and sensor integration.
- Write, test, and debug software modules using C++, Python, and ROS.
- Run simulations and tests to validate software functionality and system performance.
- Work with mechanical and electrical teams to integrate software and hardware components.
- Document software designs, testing procedures, and results.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, or a related field with a software focus.
- Experience with C++ or Python.
- Familiarity with ROS2.
- Knowledge of robotics algorithms, such as SLAM, motion planning, or state estimation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- A passion for space exploration.
Location & details#
- Location: Golden, Colorado.
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7 to August 20).
- Modality: Full-time, on-site.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Compensation: $24.00 per hour.
