About the role#
As a Social Media Intern, you will help build the future of employee storytelling at LPL. You will join a team focused on empowering employees to share their experiences and amplify the company brand. This is a 10-week paid summer internship running from June 1, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Manage and expand the Employee Advocacy program by curating content and supporting participant engagement.
- Help employees gain confidence in sharing company stories across their personal social networks.
- Support the launch and scaling of the Employee Creator program for staff interested in building online audiences.
- Maintain program resources, internal communications, and content calendars.
- Track trends, participation, and program effectiveness using data.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program, with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- Academic focus in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Data Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong communication, time management, and collaboration skills.
- Basic knowledge of SEO principles, keyword research, and social media management tools.
- Comfort working with data and analytics.
- Interest in marketing technology, campaign performance, and customer experience.
- Successful completion of a background screening.
Location & details#
- This role is based in the Fort Mill, South Carolina, and Charlotte, North Carolina area.
- You must be local to the Fort Mill area and able to work in the office on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days per week).
- The position is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week.
- Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this role.
