    About the role#

    The Louisiana Supreme Court is hiring a part-time student worker for the Court Information Technology Division. You will provide first-level technical support for hardware and software while assisting with general administrative tasks. This role offers hands-on experience in a professional IT environment and the chance to apply your classroom knowledge to real-world technical challenges.

    What you'll do#

    • Provide technical support for computer hardware and peripherals.
    • Support users with Microsoft Office 365, Windows 11, and WordPerfect Office X8.
    • Monitor and respond to help desk support requests from technical and non-technical staff.
    • Assist the IT team with various projects and administrative functions.
    • Perform software installations, upgrades, and virus protection tasks.
    • Lift and carry equipment, such as servers and power supplies, weighing up to 50 lbs.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment as a full-time student (minimum 12 undergraduate or 9 graduate credit hours) at an accredited college or university.
    • Pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or Business Administration.
    • Basic knowledge of PC hardware, desktop operating systems, application software, and network troubleshooting.
    • Strong analytical skills and the ability to research technical documentation.
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
    • Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
    • High school degree or equivalent.

    Location & details#

    • Location: New Orleans, Louisiana.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Schedule: 15 to 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
    • Status: Part-time, paid position with rolling term.
