About the role#
The Louisiana Supreme Court Records Department is hiring two to three Student Workers to support a records management project. This is a hands-on position that involves physical work and document organization. You will receive training on project procedures and will eventually work independently. This role is well-suited for students studying history, political science, government, law, or library science.
What you'll do#
- Move, organize, and index case files.
- Follow established procedures to complete tasks correctly.
- Stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and lift up to 20 pounds.
- Work a minimum of five hours per week.
What you'll need#
- You must be a full-time student at an accredited college or university, carrying at least 12 credit hours for undergraduates.
- Ability to handle court documents with care.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Location & details#
- Location: New Orleans, Louisiana.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Flexible hours during the court's operating times of 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, weekdays.
- Pay: $10 per hour for undergraduates and $13 per hour for graduates.
- Benefits: Paid parking in the French Quarter or a bus pass.
