About the role#
This internship offers hands-on experience in mechanical and opto-mechanical systems. You will work with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to support projects that impact the business. You will gain exposure to engineering methods and practices while receiving mentorship from experienced staff.
What you'll do#
- Build, prototype, and test mechanical and opto-mechanical systems.
- Assist engineers with design details and research tasks.
- Gather and assemble data for engineering projects.
- Perform limited scope testing under supervision.
- Follow work instructions to complete assigned tasks on time.
- Engage with the engineering staff to learn about company programs and practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Mechanical Engineering degree program.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build a professional network.

- Location: San Diego, California.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, rolling term.
- Compensation: $22.67 to $32.42 per hour.
