Job Summary We are seeking an Automated Test Engineering Intern to support the development, integration, and automation of test solutions for advanced electronic and RF systems. The intern will work alongside experienced engineers to develop automated test capabilities, interface with lab instrumentation and hardware, analyze test data, and troubleshoot real-world engineering problems.Job Responsibilities Work closely with and assist engineers in the conduct of various engineering assignments Carry out basic work instructions that will help in understanding the fundamentals of the Company and also learn new things Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers Complete assigned tasks on time Gather and assemble data for engineers May be required to help in research in a particular field Conduct design analysis and/or calculations under the supervision of engineers Assist engineers with appropriate design details Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization Other duties as assigned Job Responsibilities Part II Support development and execution of automated engineering test solutions Develop and modify test scripts using Python, LabVIEW, or similar programming environments Interface with lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, network analyzers, and power meters Support hardware/software integration, product bring-up, troubleshooting, and verification activities Assist with development and maintenance of test procedures, test fixtures, and automated test equipment (ATE) Collect, analyze, and visualize engineering test data to identify trends, anomalies, and performance issues Support development of reusable test software and instrument-control capabilities Document test configurations, procedures, results, and engineering findings Collaborate with Test, RF, Digital/FPGA, Embedded Software, Systems, and Manufacturing engineers on multidisciplinary engineering problems Qualifications High school diploma or GED Engineering student; some progress towards engineering degree Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network Must be diligent, hardworking, and quick to learn Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Experience with Python, C/C++, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or another programming/scripting language Basic understanding of electronic circuits, digital systems, embedded systems, RF systems, or engineering test and measurement Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams Taking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
