About the role#
LAPORTE is hiring an Electrical Engineering intern to join our team in Montreal. This is a full-time, paid position. You will work on-site and support our engineering services for the pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and biotech industries.
What you'll do#
- Design lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and communication systems.
- Create electrical control and protection diagrams, including single-line and wiring schematics.
- Prepare plans and specifications for client projects.
- Perform arc flash studies and coordinate protective devices.
- Manage follow-ups with equipment suppliers.
- Conduct system commissioning and performance testing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Electrical Engineering program.
- Technical expertise and a strong desire for quality work.
- Clear communication skills.
- Previous internship experience in design for the food and beverage, cosmetic, or pharmaceutical sectors is an asset.
