About the role#
We are looking for an engineering student to join our Rolling Stock team for a 3 to 4 month co-op term during the fall of 2026. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience by working directly with our engineers on a major railway project.
What you'll do#
- Witness train testing conducted by contractors, which includes availability during a 24/7 window.
- Assist engineers with daily tasks such as preparing engineering procedures and maintaining technical records.
- Write test and inspection reports.
- Perform basic engineering calculations.
- Support field inspections and data collection.
- Coordinate with contractors, project teams, and engineers during testing activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering program, such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a conscientious approach to work.
- Ability to solve problems in a creative and effective manner.
- Flexibility to support testing activities as scheduled, including days, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.

- Compensation: $23 to $27 per hour.
