About the role#
LAPORTE is looking for a Stagiaire en procédés alimentaires to join our engineering team in Montreal. This is a full-time, paid internship that offers hands-on experience in process engineering for the food, pharmaceutical, and biotech sectors.
What you'll do#
- Help define project scopes and analyze client needs to determine the best process solutions.
- Prepare and execute technical plans and specifications.
- Design and specify process equipment and installations.
- Review technical deliverables, including PFD and P&ID diagrams.
- Coordinate the installation, startup, validation, and maintenance of equipment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams and communicate with suppliers, contractors, and clients.
What you'll need#
- You are currently enrolled in a Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or related process engineering program.
- You have a strong command of AutoCAD software.
- Previous experience in process design within the food, beverage, cosmetic, or pharmaceutical sectors is an asset.
- You demonstrate technical expertise, organizational skills, and rigor in your work.
