About the role#
The Maintenance Intern will support maintenance activities in a manufacturing plant environment. You will work under the supervision of experienced team members to plan, design, and implement process and continuous improvement projects. This is a paid, full-time, 8-month contract position for Winter 2027.
What you'll do#
- Identify gaps to improve equipment operation.
- Create preventive maintenance plans and update bills of materials in SAP.
- Document projects, procedures, and one-point lessons.
- Assist the maintenance team with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Participate in the installation of new equipment.
- Update engineering drawings and labels.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering program.
- A basic understanding of engineering principles and concepts.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and technical engineering tools.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
