About the role#
Lactalis American Group is hiring an Indirect Procurement Intern to join our team in Chicago. This is a paid, full-time position that requires 20 to 40 hours of work per week. You will work with the Indirect North American sourcing team on category management, project management, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Support the North American sourcing team with market analysis and various business projects.
- Assist with research, cost analyses, and engagement of internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, including supplier pre-selection, bid evaluation, and awarding suppliers.
- Help negotiate supplier pricing.
- Maintain supplier relationship management and update spend trackers.
- Manage and upload data to the Procurement SharePoint database.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or Operations Management.
- Prior experience through internships, co-ops, or relevant course work.
- Strong communication and persuasive skills.
- High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
