About the role#
This is a part-time work study position at Lackawanna College. You will assist college staff and peers to increase office coverage. You will contribute to day-to-day tasks as well as specific projects and initiatives. The role requires maintaining confidentiality as defined by FERPA.
What you'll do#
- Handle general administrative tasks like filing, organization, typing, and note taking.
- Supervise the front desk and prepare mailings.
- Manage lab inventory and prepare materials for classrooms, labs, and events.
- Assist with marketing efforts and event planning.
- Use social media to post about program events.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Lackawanna College.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Capability to organize, prioritize, and maintain office records.
- High attention to detail.
Location & details#
- Location: Scranton, Pennsylvania.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Hours: 10 hours per week, typically between 8am and 4pm.
- Compensation: $13.00 per hour.
