About the role#
This is a part-time work study position within the Athletics Department at Lackawanna College. You will support staff and peers with daily office operations, department projects, and athletic events. This role averages 10 hours per week, typically scheduled between 8am and 4pm.
What you'll do#
Your time will be split between administrative office support and event-specific tasks. You will handle filing, typing, data management, and phone messages. You will also supervise the front desk and prepare mailings.
For the Athletics Department, you will help with event ticket management, set up, and tear down. You will also assist with recruit and visitor management, in-game support, A/V tasks, stat keeping, and fitness center supervision.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Lackawanna College.
- Proficient interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Skill in organizing, prioritizing, and maintaining office records.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with FERPA regulations.
Location & details#
This position is located on-site in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The pay is $13.00 per hour. Hours may occasionally include off-campus dates or times as designated by your supervisor.
