About the role#
Labcorp is seeking a Molecular-Micro Infectious Disease Intern to join our Research and Development team in Burlington, NC. This is a full-time, 11-week paid internship running from June 1, 2027, to August 13, 2027. You will work under direct supervision to support our mission of improving health outcomes through diagnostics and innovation.
What you'll do#
- Perform technical and non-technical protocols in an entry level capacity.
- Generate reliable results and maintain an accurate experimental notebook.
- Operate general laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Maintain adequate stock of working supplies and perform minor instrument troubleshooting.
- Work in cross functional teams and collaborate with colleagues.
- Adhere to all laboratory, safety, and quality control policies.
- Attend training sessions and engage in professional development workshops.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, or Biotechnology.
- Status as a rising junior or senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2029.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Preferred: 6-12 months of experience in a clinical or relevant laboratory setting.
- Preferred: 6-12 months of experience using literature, search engines, or databases for research.
- Note: This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

- Location: Burlington, North Carolina.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.
- Term: Summer 2027.
