About the role#
Labcorp is seeking a Lab Intern to join the team in Houston, Texas for the Summer 2027 program. This is a full-time, paid 11-week internship running from June 1st through August 13th, 2027. Interns will work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
What you'll do#
- Shadow laboratory professionals to learn diagnostic workflows, instrumentation, and department operations.
- Assist with non-testing tasks including specimen organization, inventory management, and workspace preparation.
- Participate in approved mock testing, demonstrations, and basic laboratory techniques under supervision.
- Support approved laboratory projects.
- Follow all safety and compliance standard operating procedures.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program for Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
- Strong interest in laboratory science and the diagnostics industry.
- Ability to work independently under general supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and a willingness to follow specific laboratory procedures.
- Professionalism, including consistent punctuality and appropriate conduct.
- Eagerness to learn new scientific concepts and laboratory skills.

- Compensation: $17.75 - $22.00 per hour, based on skills and experience.
