About the role#
The Assay Pricing Strategy Intern will join the Core Automated Testing and Immunology team to support strategic initiatives in Indianapolis. This internship focuses on evaluating pricing models and cost drivers within a clinical research environment. You will work alongside laboratory scientists, finance teams, and commercial development professionals to improve operational efficiency and cost transparency.
What you'll do#
- Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate existing assay pricing models and cost drivers.
- Analyze historical pricing data, including reagent costs, consumable expenses, testing workflows, and laboratory resource requirements.
- Support the creation of updated pricing frameworks that reflect current testing processes and technologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to document methodologies and assumptions for pricing standardization.
- Prepare business analyses, reports, and presentations to communicate findings to leadership.
- Contribute to projects aimed at improving the long-term sustainability of laboratory testing services.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Business Analytics, Life Sciences, Finance, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or Healthcare Management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative laboratory team.
- Strong interest in laboratory operations, immunology, bioanalytical testing, or clinical research.
- Initiative, curiosity, and a commitment to maintaining professionalism in a regulated setting.
- Previous experience with Microsoft Excel and data analysis coursework is preferred.
