About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will work on tool management and process improvement tasks within production operations. You will handle routine assignments under general guidance while contributing to smaller projects. This position is based on-site in Greenville, Texas.
What you'll do#
- Manage the broken tool dashboard and monitor the Gemba request SharePoint list.
- Create, update, and maintain records in the tool management software.
- Coordinate with Production supervision to ensure tool data is accurate.
- Support process improvement projects, including production layout changes and capital equipment proposals.
- Help streamline manufacturing processes to improve schedule performance and reduce costs.
- Communicate with your team to explain and interpret technical information.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related engineering field.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint is preferred.
- Familiarity with electrical or mechanical manufacturing is a plus.
- Experience with database record creation and management is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Greenville, Texas.
- Work schedule: 9/80 schedule, which includes 80 hours worked over 9 days with every other Friday off.
- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
