About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship based in Amityville, New York. You will work on-site, following a 9/80 schedule that includes every other Friday off. This position is rolling.
What you'll do#
You will implement manufacturing plans and design the tools and systems needed to support them. You will work with cross-functional teams to transfer new products from engineering into production. Your daily tasks include creating work instructions, setting labor and cycle time standards, and maintaining manufacturing processes. You will also estimate costs, track product line performance, and help resolve issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Additionally, you will procure tooling and qualify materials for new product introductions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo.
- Experience using statistical software like Minitab or JMP.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification is preferred.
