About the role#
This is a full-time, paid software engineering internship for Summer 2026. You will work on-site in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The schedule follows a 9/80 format, meaning you work 80 hours over nine days and have every other Friday off.
What you'll do#
- Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical concepts to develop software for target applications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to build and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software.
- Participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and testing of embedded software.
- Create software test procedures, programs, and documentation.
- Use modeling tools to establish operating data, run experimental tests, and evaluate results.
- Join peer reviews to identify, track, and fix defects.
What you'll need#
- You must be pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field at an accredited university.
- Experience with one or more of the following: C++, C#, C, Java, Ruby, JEE, HTML5, XML, SQL, Qt, Windows.NET, Unix, Linux, SOA, RTOS, Real-Time Controls, Wireless, Software Security, Robotics, OOA/OOD, Hadoop, Android, or Embedded Systems.
- Ability to work with various software languages across different platforms.
