About the role#
Kwest Group is seeking a Project Management Intern to assist our teams with estimating and project management tasks. You will work alongside senior project managers on multiple civil construction projects. This role provides hands-on experience and the potential for subsequent internship periods based on performance. The starting pay is $21.00 per hour.
What you'll do#
- Travel to project sites as needed.
- Assist in preparing quantity take-offs for proposals and project setups.
- Provide clerical support and vendor solicitation for bids.
- Contact suppliers and subcontractors to request quotes.
- Schedule and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Help senior project managers price bid documents.
- Request reports from project foremen, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Represent the company professionally and maintain positive relationships with the public and clients.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong math and analytical skills.
- Ability to multitask, manage time, and complete tasks without direct supervision.
- Effective client-facing and teamwork skills.
- Must pass 30-hour OSHA testing and First Aid/CPR requirements before starting.
- Must complete a pre-employment physical examination to meet the physical demands of the role.
