About the role#
Kwest Group offers a Project Management Internship for individuals pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. This role provides hands-on experience by supporting senior staff with estimating and project management tasks across multiple construction sites. Interns may be offered subsequent internship periods based on their performance.
What you'll do#
- Assist senior project managers with estimating, project setups, and pricing bid documents.
- Prepare quantity take-offs for proposals.
- Contact suppliers and subcontractors to request quotes and solicit bids.
- Schedule and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Request timely reports from project foremen and vendors.
- Provide clerical support to the project management team.
- Travel to project sites as needed.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers and employees.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree program.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively without direct supervision.
- Strong teamwork and client-facing skills.
- Ability to pass 30 Hour OSHA testing and First Aid/CPR requirements before starting.
- Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working on uneven terrain, confirmed by a pre-employment physical exam.
