About the role#
Kwest Group offers a project management internship for individuals currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. This role provides hands-on experience in civil construction. Interns assist the project management team with estimating and operational support across multiple projects. Performance during the internship may lead to offers for subsequent terms.
What you'll do#
- Travel to project sites as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of quantity take-offs for proposals and project setups.
- Provide clerical support and vendor solicitation for bids and ongoing projects.
- Contact suppliers and subcontractors for quotes and assist in their management.
- Help senior project managers in pricing bid documents.
- Request accurate and timely reports from project foremen, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Represent the company professionally and maintain positive working relationships with customers and the public.
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree program.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Solid math and analytical skills.
- Effective organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Strong client-facing and teamwork skills.
- Ability to complete tasks without direct supervision.
- Ability to pass 30 Hour OSHA testing and First Aid/CPR requirements.
- Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working on active construction sites, confirmed by a pre-employment physical exam.
